So we do our own take on the Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits and find out later there’s an actual pre-made mix you can buy, so while we’re in the mood for biscuit making lets do both and then see which one’s better.

Julia attempted to make this without the Red Lobster box and it came out OK. Here are the very simple instructions.
Gently fold together all of the listed ingredients. Don't over stir.
Measure ¼ cup per biscuit and form into a round biscuit. Place on your baking sheet and brush with melted butter.
Bake in a 475° oven for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Brush a bit more melted herb butter on top and serve.
JP went with the Red Lobster box to see if it tasted like the original Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuits that you get at the restaurant.
Stir together water, cheese, and biscuit mix until dough forms (do not overmix)
Scoop dough immediately into 8-10 portions (about ¼ cup each) and place 2 inches apart onto prepared baking sheet.
Bake 14-16 minutes or until golden brown on top. Melt butter in microwave safe bowl, add garlic herb blend and stir until well blended.
Spoon or Brush 1 teaspoon garlic herb butter sauce on to each hot biscuit. Serve immediately.
Verdict: Homemade or Boxed?
The spices from the homemade version were more exciting and more enjoyable, although, the Red Lobster box did get the look of the real Red Lobster cheddar Bay biscuits.
For a healthier, less desirable method, don't eat this at all.
